From joist treatment to vapor barrier replacement and encapsulation — the full scope of crawl space mold remediation in Roxbury Crossing, MA.
🔍
Crawl Space Mold Assessment & Moisture Mapping
Our Roxbury Crossing, MA crawl space inspectors enter the space with calibrated moisture meters and assess joist moisture content readings at regular intervals, map the extent of visible fungal growth, evaluate vapor barrier condition, and measure ventilation cross-flow. Findings documented with photos and written scope before any work begins.
🔨
Joist & Subfloor Sheathing Mold Removal
HEPA vacuum and wire-brush removal of fungal growth from accessible joist and sheathing surfaces. Where structural integrity is compromised by fungal digestion, affected sections are removed and sistered with treated lumber.
💧
Vapor Barrier Repair & Replacement
Vapor barrier inspection, repair, or full replacement with properly-lapped, footing-secured reinforced poly. This is often the single most impactful long-term fix for chronic crawl space mold in Roxbury Crossing, MA homes.
🏔
Encapsulation for Severe Moisture Environments
Full crawl space encapsulation — sealed ground cover, insulated perimeter walls, and conditioned air — is warranted in high-moisture-load situations where passive ventilation is insufficient. We assess your specific Roxbury Crossing, MA conditions before recommending encapsulation vs. enhanced ventilation.
⚡
Ventilation Correction & Dehumidifier Installation
Where crawl space cross-ventilation is inadequate, our Roxbury Crossing, MA team identifies additional vent locations, sizes existing vents against square footage, and where appropriate, installs a dedicated crawl space dehumidifier with external drain or condensate pump. Mechanical dehumidification is sometimes the most practical solution for chronically humid Roxbury Crossing crawl spaces.
📄
Post-Remediation Clearance & Moisture Verification
Post-remediation moisture re-check plus independent post-removal air sampling. Joist moisture content below threshold, post-clearance air sample confirming reduced spore counts — both documented in your written clearance report.
